Nooja — Privacy Policy

Nooja is a private prayer companion. It is built to keep your information on your device. We do not run accounts, we do not show ads, and we do not track you.

Information we collect

None that leaves your device for our benefit. Nooja has no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking SDKs. We do not collect, store, or transmit your personal information to ourselves or to anyone for advertising or profiling.

Location

If you grant location access, Nooja uses your location on your device to calculate accurate prayer times and the Qibla direction. Your location is stored only on your device. You can instead pick a city manually and never share your location.

Internet features (optional)

Some optional features make network requests. These send only what is technically necessary to fulfil the request and never include your name, contacts, or an identifier that profiles you:

• Qur'an recitation streams audio from public Qur'an audio services (e.g. quran.com / quranicaudio.com) when you press play.
• Prayer timetable updates may fetch published timetables from najaf.org for supported cities.
• Weather for the prayer scene sends your approximate coordinates to the Open-Meteo service to retrieve current conditions; Open-Meteo does not require an account and is not used to identify you.

These features only run when used, and the rest of the app works fully offline.

Notifications

Prayer and adhan notifications are scheduled locally on your device. No notification data is sent to us.

Children

Nooja does not collect personal data from anyone, including children.

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page.
